Our Story

About the Club

We're UCR students who love pickleball — and decided to build something that lets everyone on campus play, compete, and belong.

Growing the Game at UCR

This all started because a few friends were having fun on the courts and wanted to share that with everyone around them. Not a formal plan, not a business — just people who loved the game and thought, why not bring more people into it?

What started as “we playing tomorrow?” turned into “see you tomorrow.” That shift — from casual to committed, from group chat to community — is exactly what CPB @ UCR is built on. We call it family.

Whether you're passionate about competing or just love doing something fun with people who get it — bring that energy to UCR and you'll naturally build what we have. A club that started with a few friends and a pickleball, and grew into something way bigger.

Our Core Values

🏆

Compete Hard

We show up to practice with purpose and to tournaments with intensity. Friendly is fine — but we're here to win.

🤝

Include Everyone

Pickleball is for everyone. We actively build a club where every student — background, skill, identity — feels like they belong.

📈

Keep Growing

We're always learning — new strategies, new skills, new people. A growth mindset is the only requirement to thrive here.
